The Voices We Hear., Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides FREE college mentorship to underprivileged and underrepresented high school students. Yes, you heard that correctly. 100% free. Founder and CEO, Daysha Selena Williams, believes that money should never be a prohibiting factor for students of color to receive assistance throughout the college process.
No matter where you are in the process—creating your Common App, revising supplements, or needing extra motivation when facing rejection, we’ve got you covered.
In order to keep the cost at $0, services provided by The Voices We Hear., Inc. are completely funded by donations and grants.
There are 3 types of mentorship services we offer.
Tier 1: Consistent Support for Current High School Juniors.
Tier 2: Consistent Support for Current High School Non-Juniors. Tier 3: Occasional Support (For anyone applying to college).
To the left are all the schools our first cohort of mentees were accepted to. Combined, they received over 30 acceptance and $1 million dollars in scholarships!
